For all your household electrical needs
AmpAir Electrical is able to help you with all of your household electrical needs from rewiring the entire house to adding a new power point. If your work requires it we will liaise with Energex – this may include power outages, switchboard upgrades or mains upgrades. We can help with both single and three phase power.

Troubleshooting
Power suddenly gone off? Before you call us, here are a few tips to try:
- Unplug all appliances – not just switched off.
- Go to your electrical metre box – this may be a different location to the switchboard. Check meters to check if disk is spinning or LED screen is functioning. If not call AmpAir Electrical on 0402 405 562.
- If the meter appear to be functioning, go to your switchboard and switch off all circuits except the main switch. You will have no power so make sure you have a torch if required.
- If there is a four pole RCD, switch this on. Then one by one switch each of the other single switches back on.
- If the fault is in the wiring of a fixed electrical item e.g. ceiling light then as you put the switches back up, a corresponding switch will go off in the four pole RCD. This allows us to know where the fault is and at the same time will give you power to the remaining areas of the house.
- If no switches go back off in the previous step, the fault may be with an appliance. One by one plug the appliances back in and switch them on, monitoring the switchboard each time.

A new switchboard can offer increased safety, power, energy efficiency, decreased maintenance costs, and lower insurance premiums.
